4 Techniques to Get More Engagement on Your Content

How to make content snackable, sharable, and scroll-proof in 2025.

In partnership with

Hey CEOs,

…that’s not a typo.

If you’re reading this, you’re the CEO of your brand—whether you’re a team of one or building a content empire.

And this newsletter? It’s built for creatorpreneurs who think—and move—like one.

Your brand isn’t just a magnet for followers. It’s a launchpad for businesses, impact, and income. But none of that happens if your content gets ignored.

So, let’s fix the scroll-and-ghost problem.

This week’s playbook will sharpen your content strategy, unlock income-generating ideas, and level up your video workflow.

Sound good? Let’s get to work.

📈 The Growth Lever Playbook

4 ways to 2X your content engagement.

Viral isn’t the goal—visibility is.

And the algorithm doesn’t care how smart your post is—it cares if people react.

If you’re putting out great content and still hearing crickets, it’s time to rethink things.

Through trial and error, I’ve uncovered 4 growth levers that’ll help you get more comments, shares, and interactions—especially on LinkedIn and Instagram, no matter how big your audience is.

1. Sound Like a Human

On LinkedIn, your content doesn’t need to sound like a keynote speech.

It should sound like you.

Some of my best posts start with “I,” “I’ve,” or personal cues that signal honesty and vulnerability.

Try this:

  • “I used to think…”

  • “At 30, I realized…”

  • “Transparency moment.”

  • “I’ve been sitting on this idea…”

These small phrases create an emotional connection—and that’s what turns lurkers into commenters.

2. No One’s Reading Your Manifesto

Long-winded posts are killing your engagement.

Not because they’re bad—just because people don’t have the time.

LinkedIn is for professionals, but it’s still social media. This isn’t a blog post.

So make your post skimmable.

I aim to keep my writing short, usually between 80 and 120 words.

However, even “Twitter-length” posts perform very well. Check out exhibit A & exhibit B from this week alone.

Your post should be snackable, not skippable. Every time.

3. Invite Them to Engage.

You don’t have to beg. But you do have to open the door.

End your post with something simple like:

  • “Thoughts?”

  • “Curious if you agree…”

  • “What’s one thing you’d add?”

Engagement is a two-way street—but someone’s gotta make the first move.

This one simple shift has consistently helped me drive more comments.

And comments lead to impressions.

Impressions lead to audience growth.

4. DMs Will Boost Instagram Growth in 2025

If you’re on IG and not using ManyChat, you’re missing a major growth lever.

Here’s how it works:

  1. End your post with “Comment ‘X’ and I’ll DM you the [resource/guide/freebie].”

  2. They comment.

  3. The DM auto-triggers.

  4. The algorithm sees 10X comments vs your average and boosts your reach of the post to more people.

It’s a win for them but a bigger win for you.

This works across both Stories and Feed—and consistently drives stronger engagement.

Don’t just read—apply it.

These playbooks only work if you put them into motion.

Most creatorpreneurs focus on growing their audience.

The smart ones? They grow their engagement—and the audience follows.
